Apply a thin layer of cooking spray to the cooling rack. Place the chicken wings, skin side up, in a single layer on the cooling rack. Bake for fifteen minutes on the chicken wings.

MAKE THE STICKY BARBECUE SAUCE

Prepare the sticky barbecue sauce while the wings are still cooking.

Pour the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, honey, mustard, and barbecue sauce into a pot. The barbecue sauce should be heated over medium heat, stirring often to prevent sticking.

After the sugar has melted and the ingredients have combined, simmer the sauce for a few minutes. While the sauce is cooking, give it your whole attention! Never leave the pan alone.

Reduce the heat to low and whisk periodically to keep the sauce warm until you’re ready to use it.

Set aside approximately ¾ of the sauce for serving, and transfer the remainder to a bowl.

COAT THE WINGS WITH THE BARBECUE SAUCE

  • After taking the wings out of the oven, flip each one so the lighter side is facing up.
  • Brush them with a lot of the barbecue sauce using a pastry brush, then bake for an additional five minutes.
  • Take them out of the oven one more and flip each wing. Apply a generous coating of the sauce on them. Basically, you want to apply it liberally.
  • After five more minutes of baking, put the wings back in the oven.
  • Give them one last coat of sauce and bake for a further five minutes, without rotating them this time.

Serve the wings with the leftover barbecue sauce on the side and arrange them on a tray. Oh, and don’t forget to savor the sticky chicken wings after serving them with plenty of napkins!
