Christmas Fudge Recipe

This festive fudge is rich, creamy, and perfect for holiday gatherings. The colorful layers and sprinkles make it an irresistible treat!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips (or white baking chocolate, chopped)
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red and green food coloring
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Pan

  • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving extra parchment hanging over the sides. This will make it easier to lift the fudge out of the pan when it’s ready.

2. Melt the Chocolate

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Stir constantly over low heat until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy. Be careful not to overheat, as this could cause the chocolate to seize.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Divide and Color the Mixture

  • Divide the melted chocolate mixture evenly among three small bowls.
  • Tint one bowl with a few drops of red food coloring and another with green food coloring. Leave the third bowl plain for a white layer.
  • Tip: Start with one or two drops of food coloring and add more as needed to achieve the desired color.

4. Layer the Fudge

  • Pour the red fudge mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  • Carefully layer the plain fudge on top of the red layer, spreading it gently to avoid mixing the colors.
  • Finally, pour the green fudge mixture over the plain layer, smoothing it evenly.

5. Create a Swirled Effect

  • For a marbled look, use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the layers together. Be careful not to over-swirl, as you want to keep the colors distinct but blended.

6. Add Sprinkles (Optional)

  • While the fudge is still warm, sprinkle holiday-themed sprinkles on top for added festive flair.

7. Chill the Fudge

  • Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
  • Once set, use the parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan and transfer it to a cutting board. Slice into small squares.

Serving & Storage

  • Servings: Makes about 24 small pieces.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Tips for the Best Christmas Fudge:

  • Peppermint Twist: For a festive flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract to the mixture along with the vanilla.
  • Swirl Variation: If you prefer a layered fudge without swirls, skip the swirling step and enjoy a striped effect instead.
  • Use Quality Ingredients: High-quality white chocolate makes a big difference in both flavor and texture.

Enjoy this Christmas fudge as a delightful homemade treat or gift!
